What is a no-cost accident replacement car?
An accident replacement car or any other type of vehicle is something you can take advantage of if you have been involved in a road accident that wasn’t your fault.
If after your car crash, if you think that’s definitely not my fault, you can call us, and we can assess your eligibility for a hire car.
If you qualify, we will provide you with a like for like car to use until you get your car fixed.
In Australia, drivers who are involved in not at fault accidents are entitled to a rental car whilst their car is at the repairers or if their car is damaged beyond repair (a total loss) until you get a new one.
The cost of an accident replacement car is recovered by Millner and Knight and other hire companies from the at-fault driver or their insurance company.
Do you qualify for a no-charge hire car?
To be eligible for a no charge hire car you mustn’t have been at fault for the accident.
Unfortunately, if you were the driver who caused the crash then you will not be eligible for a no-cost hire car.
If you are deemed responsible after telling us it’s not my fault, you will be required to pay for the hire.
We still offer accident replacement vehicles to at-fault drivers however, you will be required to pay the costs yourself.

Will I need to pay for anything if it’s not my fault?
If the accident was not your fault because of our no-fault no charge guarantee you will not be required to pay towards the hire of the vehicle.
Costs you may incur are:
